Description
This little crocheted friend is adorable whether it's in or out of its cozy pot. You can crochet the axolotl on its own, or follow the pattern to create a highly customizable pot of any width or height. Not to mention, the color combinations are practically endless! We're excited to see how yours turns out!

Hook- US, G/6 (4.0 mm)

Mr - Magic Ring
Rnd - Round
Htr - Half treble crochet
Sc - Single Crochet
St - Stitch
Rep - Repeat
Flo - Front Loop Only
Fo - Fasten Off
Bbl - Bobble (6 trebles)
Sl st - Slip Stitch

Inc - Increase (2 sc in one st)

Plant Pot (1x)
With gray yarn, create mr
Rnd 1: In mr, 6 sc [6]
Sc increase to desired width
Next rnd: sl st in each st
Htr to desired height. If it doesn’t stand, htr to double the desired height and fold in half
Axolotl (1x)
With white yarn, create mr
Rnd 1: In mr, 6 sc [6]
Rnd 2: 6 inc [12]
Rnd 3: sc, inc 6x [18]
Rnd 4: 2 sc, inc 6x [24]
Rnd 5: 6 sc, bbl, 6 sc, bbl, 10 sc [24]
Rnd 6-8: sc in each st [24]
Rnd 9: 6 sc, bbl, 6 sc, bbl, 10 sc [24]
Rnd 10: 2 sc, dec x6 [18]
Rnd 11: sc, dec x6 [12]
Rnd 12: in flo - sc, inc x6 [18]

Add toy eyes in desired location (refer to images for inspiration)
Stuff toy

Fo and hide remaining yarn endings
Add blush below eyes
Gills
Attach blue yarn to top of head
(1) Sc, htr, sc in same st. (2) In next st, sc, htr, tr, htr, sc in same st. (3) In next st repeat step (1)
Repeat on other side of head
Tail
Attach blue yarn on the back, 4 sts up from bottom
Row 1: sc in next 4 sts
Row 2-6: htr in each sc
Row 7: 2 sc, htr, tr
